The anticipated annual salary for this position is $53,000.00.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES :
Incumbent of position is a member of DFS’ Disaster Response Team and, in that capacity, may be required on short notice to perform duties and necessary attendant travel in support of disaster relief efforts.
The Budget Analyst will be expected to work independently perform a full range of assignments under limited supervision. The work will require the ability to apply an extensive knowledge of business practices and procedures to work from general instructions to adapt and apply knowledge in a variety of complex situations, and in recommending solutions to problems of a specialized or general nature. The work will require skills in analyzing and interpreting data, policy and procedures or in using equipment to arrive at logical conclusions or recommendations. The Budget Analyst must use initiative and creative planning in devising new methods and approaches to solve major problems.
The Division Budget Analyst primary responsibility will be overseeing the Division’s budgetary process to ensure efficiency, accountability and effective operations. The Budget Analyst will do this by examining and preparing budget estimates and proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations, and analyzing budgeting and accounting reports for the purpose of maintaining expenditure controls.
