Job Summary: Senior Test Automation Engineer - CR217
- Develop, prepare, and execute automated test scripts to reduce manual testing efforts for NextGen Systems.
- Design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks (BDD/TDD/Hybrid) using Core Java and Cucumber-JVM.
- Perform API test automation using REST-Assured, Jersey JAX-RS, and other standard API testing tools.
- Work hands-on with modern test automation tools: Selenium, TestNg, AutoIT, Webdriver, Protractor, Watir, etc.
- Support continuous integration and DevOps processes using Jenkins, Maven/Ant, and shell scripting.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and management to ensure timely, high-quality releases.
- Automate testing for web/ecommerce and mobile applications (Appium, Android SDK, Browserstack, etc.).
- Utilize SQL and NoSQL databases for test data management and validation.
- Apply object-oriented design principles (MVC, DOM, CSS, JavaScript) for automation in diverse tech stacks.
- Use agile methodologies and participate in all aspects of the software testing lifecycle (STLC).
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, enhance automation frameworks for reusability and efficiency.
- Generate testing artifacts and detailed reports for unit, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Engage in test management and defect tracking using JIRA, Azure DevOps (TFS), TestRail, and Zephyr.
- Support smoke/sanity testing for DevOps Release Engineering post-deployment.
- Apply AI and performance/security testing tools as needed.
- Lead and mentor team members; influence automation direction, schedule, and priorities.
- Work on multiple projects concurrently, adapting to varying project requirements and instructions.
- Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve QA automation processes and best practices.
- Provide framework support and troubleshooting for Development and QA teams.
