Scope:

The Ecommerce and Marketplace Account Manager will play a key strategic and analytical role in driving the success of our brand across major online retail platforms, including Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, Target Plus, and Best Buy. This position is responsible for managing the entire marketplace lifecycle—from strategy development and planning to execution and performance enhancement. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in digital merchandising, pricing strategies, online marketing, and account management, making this a high-impact role perfect for someone with a proven ability to scale ecommerce businesses and maximize marketplace profitability.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Marketplace Strategy & Category Development

  • Develop and execute marketplace strategies across Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, Target Plus, and Best Buy to drive revenue, brand visibility, and profitability.
  • Identify and launch high-potential products, brands, and categories based on marketplace trends and consumer demand.
  • Partner with brand stakeholders to coordinate onboarding, product launches, and promotional campaigns aligned with marketplace goals.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure consistent product supply, favorable commercial terms, and collaborative business planning.
  • Support brand partners with marketplace strategy development, including content creation, pricing, and compliance requirements.

Product Listing & Content Optimization

  • Create, optimize, and manage product listings with SEO best practices to enhance visibility and conversion.
  • Ensure high-quality representation of product features, specifications, and brand identity across all platforms.

Inventory, Fulfillment & Operational Excellence

  • Oversee inventory planning and replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels and maximize sell-through performance.
  • Manage and improve fulfillment models (FBA, FBM, dropship) to ensure timely, accurate delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain platform performance metrics, account health, and compliance with marketplace policies.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze sales, traffic, and customer data to drive insights and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Track campaign KPIs, platform performance, and shopper behavior trends.
  • Prepare detailed performance reports and dashboards to share insights and recommendations with executive leadership.

Issue Resolution & Compliance

  • Proactively resolve fulfillment issues, chargebacks, returns, and operational challenges that may impact performance.
  • Stay updated on marketplace policy changes, trends, and competitor movements to maintain strategic advantage.

Technology & Systems Integration

  • Assess, recommend, and implement third-party tools and middleware solutions for listing automation, advertising, and analytics.
  • Collaborate with IT and Operations to integrate Microsoft Dynamics with marketplace platforms to automate order, inventory, and reporting workflows.
  • Support real-time tracking of sales, inventory, and pricing through connected BI tools or dashboards.
  • Continuously audit processes and tools to identify inefficiencies and recommend scalable solutions for improvement.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Ecommerce, Sales, or a related discipline is strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience managing Amazon and/or other online marketplace accounts
  • Proven ability to drive marketplace revenue growth and enhance profitability
  • Background in consumer electronics, video games, or similar industries
  • Experience with ERP system integrations, such as Microsoft Dynamics or NetSuite
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and platform policy management
  • Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL), FBA/FBM, and dropship fulfillment models
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing cross-functional projects
  • Deep expertise with Seller Central, Vendor Central, Walmart Seller Center, and/or Target Plus/Best Buy portals
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with a strong ability to analyze data and generate actionable reports
  • Experience with advertising platforms such as Amazon Advertising, Walmart Connect, and similar tools
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly entrepreneurial, resourceful, and proactive in achieving business goals
