WHAT IS THE SELECTION PROCESS?
Selection is a three-to-six-month process where the successful applicants MUST PASS the Oral and Written Exam, as well as a Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (CJSTC) background prior to beginning.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of basic accounting and auditing principles, methods of compiling and analyzing data, monitoring techniques, basic mathematics.
Ability to review, analyze, and evaluate financial data, examine and audit financial records, prepare financial audit reports, understand and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, conduct research and prepare reports, probe and obtain critical facts, utilize problem-solving techniques, plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments, communicate effectively, establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES :
Incumbent of position is a member of DFS’ Disaster Response Team and, in that capacity, may be required on short notice to perform duties and necessary attendant travel in support of disaster relief efforts.
This position has responsibilities involving procedures adopted by the Department, Division, and Bureau. The procedures are part of the internal control structure used to provide reasonable assurance that objectives are met. This position shall use, comply with, and, if needed, improve these controls and procedures in the performance of duties within the Office of Fiscal Integrity.
Incumbent is under the direct supervision of the Fiscal Integrity Lieutenant:
*Conducts complex investigations, traveling when required, in various areas of responsibility within the Department of Financial Services’ jurisdiction.
*Assists the Fiscal Integrity Lieutenant:
Perform other duties as required.
