DESCRIPTION

Are you a talented Mechanical Engineer with a passion for designing and delivering large-scale automated fulfillment solutions? We're seeking a driven Mechanical Project Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in transforming the future of Amazon's logistics network.
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for the detailed mechanical design of our automated fulfillment center projects, from concept to completion. You will work closely with a cross-functional engineering team to select the optimal equipment, plan and execute your deliverables with the highest quality, and ensure seamless integration with other building systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Mechanical Design and Engineering:

2. Project Execution and Coordination:
o Develop and manage mechanical engineering project plans, schedules, and deliverables
o Coordinate with other trades to minimize conflicts and ensure efficient installation
o Maintain excellent communication with the on-site construction team to address issues and support field implementation
3. Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:
o Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements, balance priorities, and deliver solutions that exceed expectations
o Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and satisfy a complex set of goals
o Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to motivate and lead the engineering team
4. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
o Ensure the mechanical design meets all safety, regulatory, and performance standards
o Implement quality control measures to identify and resolve issues early in the design and construction phases
o Capture and apply lessons learned to improve the mechanical design and delivery process for future projects
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and project management, preferably in the logistics, material handling, or construction industries
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, project management tools, and data analysis
• Strong technical skills, creativity, and the ability to balance competing priorities
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
If you're a driven Mechanical Engineer who thrives on delivering complex, high-impact projects, we want to hear from you! Apply now to join our team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of Amazon's fulfillment network.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead a team of mechanical and structural project engineers.
- Define processes and tooling of the future to enable the teams to scale.
- Collaborate with outside vendors and cross-functional teams

A day in the life
You will be building the bridge while you walk on it - we have never internally delivered the full engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of a building before, so this leader will be defining what we have to actually do, and then doi it.

- Ability/Experience using Project Planning & Deliverables Tracking

- Ability to use AutoCAD 2D & 3D
