Job Title: Welder and Fabricator Job Description This position involves the layout, fitting, fabrication, and assembly of components for Heat Processing Equipment. The work includes assembly, dismantling, and repair activities. Responsibilities Layout, position, align, and fit components together. Use clamps and tack welds to secure proper positioning for welding. Set up equipment and weld parts using Stick, ARC, MIG, and TIG welding techniques. Assemble parts by welding and riveting methods, ensuring structures are squared and leveled. Perform tasks with sheet metal, including fabricating oven panels, spot welding, and applying insulating materials. Conduct welding, cutting, and grinding on plates and structural components. Repair or modify products through dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembly. Essential Skills Proficiency in welding techniques such as Stick, MIG, and TIG. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in welding and fabrication. Ability to pass weld and quick math tests. Experience in bending metal and cutting angles. Proven ability to work with structural steel 1/4"+ gauge thick. Additional Skills & Qualifications Fabrication as a primary skill set. Certification not required. Work Environment The role is set in a manufacturing environment where noise levels may be high. Candidates are required to wear work boots, though steel toe is not necessary. The position involves approximately 25% welding, with the remainder focused on fabricating, building, prepping material, and installing insulation. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
